The gold leaf and precious elements on all SAUVEREIGN creations are expertly handcrafted by master artisans from different corners of the world, carefully protected by multiple layers of lacquer to achieve the desired hue and luminescence, preserve their beauty and prolong longevity. If properly cared for, each creation can last a lifetime, to be passed on from generation to generation.

As with most precious treatments, such finishes are not unbreakable and susceptible to oxidation, scratches and chipping; this is not a manufacturing defect and considered normal wear and tear. SAUVEREIGN Gems

Mobilising the hand for countless hours, with audacity, passion, precision and accuracy, realised using innovative and precious media, SAUVEREIGN Gems are one-of-a-kind creations that will stand the test of time if properly cared for, destined to be passed on from generation to generation.

  • Clean gently with distilled water (not higher than 30 °C) and a soft, neutral-coloured, absorbent, non-fluffy microfibre cloth;
  • Dry thoroughly before wiping with the recommended cloth; the use of brush is not recommended;
  • Mother-of-pearl or ornamental stones are natural materials and may be easily damaged by improper care;
  • Avoid contact with abrasive surfaces to prevent scratches;
  • Avoid exposure to high temperatures and prolonged direct sunlight;
  • Store individually in the original SAUVEREIGN protective bags when not in use to avoid debris and abrasion; protect from external shock;

SAUVEREIGN Shoes

Made by hand in Italy using century-old techniques that have been passed down from generations, crafted from the finest leathers of the most beautiful section of each skin, these natural and living materials require and deserve your care and attention.

  • Never add rubber soles to your shoes, they destroy the shoes’ pitch and balance;
  • Regularly replace your heel tips before they run too low;
  • Avoid contact with solvent, oil and abrasive surfaces;
  • Avoid humidity, rain and exposure to direct sources of heat or sunlight;
  • Keep the leather area clean and dry, occasionally nourish with specialist colourless lotion;
  • Should the product is wet, dry gently with a soft, neutral-coloured, absorbent, non-fluffy cloth;
  • Heels and accessories with precious finishes such as gold leaf and/or lacquer can be cleaned with distilled water and dried as per above;
  • Endeavour not to wear your shoes on consecutive days to allow the leather fibres to rest;
  • For exotic skins, because of the delicate and precious nature of the material, they must be protected from humidity, water spray and rain. Avoid contact with water, alcohol-based solutions, and exposure to direct sunlight;
  • To preserve the original shape of the shoes, store with shapers after each use in the SAUVEREIGN protective bags and boxes, away from other leathers or pigmented colours to avoid colour migration.

SAUVEREIGN Leather goods

Leather is a natural and living material, it will soften and develop natural marks depending on use, such as wrinkles, pores and veins, and a beautiful patina, becoming a unique well-travelled object that is full of character and subtle nuances. Meticulously handcrafted in France from the finest leathers of the most beautiful section of each skin, these natural and living materials require and deserve your care and attention.

All the metal pieces such as locks, buckles, handles are developed and created by SAUVEREIGN exclusively for its creations. They are made in brass and/or zinc alloy, polished by hand, plated in fine gold or palladium.

  • Do not over pack and carry excessive load to preserve the original shape; stuff with tissue paper to maintain shape and structure;
  • Avoid prolonged contact between light and dark colours to minimise the risk of colour bleeding;
  • Avoid humidity, rain and exposure to sources of heat or direct sunlight;
  • Should the product is wet, dry gently with a soft, neutral-coloured, absorbent, non-fluffy cloth;
  • Cleaning with solvents or chemicals is not recommended, which can compromise the quality and integrity of the leather;
  • For exotic skins, because of the sensitive and precious nature of the material, they must be protected from humidity, water spray and rain. Avoid contact with water and liquid, alcohol-based solutions, and exposure to direct sunlight;
  • Store individually in the original SAUVEREIGN protective bag and box when not in use.

SAUVEREIGN ZOHIKO

Over 300 years of dedication and savoir-faire, a legendary master of Kyoto-style lacquerware, an extraordinary meeting of minds.

  • Avoid contact with abrasive surfaces to prevent scratches;
  • Clean the product with a dishcloth or sponge soaked in thinned neutral detergent in lukewarm water, and wipe with a clean, dry and soft microfibre cloth;

SAUVEREIGN Umbrellas

Keeping you dry in style. Handmade in Surrey, England, with over 150 years of history.

  • Do not use in situations of very strong winds or lightning storms;
  • Open the umbrella pointing downwards, lift the ribs slightly and slide the umbrella open;
  • Never leave the umbrella wet and creased up;
  • When dry, furl the umbrella carefully;
  • Avoid allowing water on the underside of the umbrella and closing it;
  • Avoid exposure to sources of heat or direct sunlight.

SAUVEREIGN Fans

Revive the art and sophistication of the hand fan whilst staying cool in the heat. Over 190 years of history, each fan is assembled by hand in France by apprentices of the last master of traditional French fan-making.

  • Gently open the fan in one direction only. Do not forcefully open the fan;
  • Avoid humidity, rain and exposure to sources of heat or direct sunlight;
  • For feather fans, because of the delicate nature of the material, they must be handled with extra care. Avoid contact with chemicals and store upright in the original bag and box;
  • Store individually in the original SAUVEREIGN protective bag and box when not in use to avoid debris and abrasion; protect from external shock.
